Alessio Bolognesi was born in Ferrara in 1978, where he lives and works. Aless is the dad of Sfiggy, its alter-ego character who was the main protagonist of his artistic research from 2010 until 2014. Sfiggy embodies fears, uncertainties and difficulties of the human being, by starting from real experiences of his creator.
Alessio is now alternating between Street Art, Illustration and Painting, and from 2015 Sfiggy is assuming a more and more marginal role in his artistic research. That leaves more space for new topics and new styles as demonstrated by the recent “Without Orientation”, artworks in which he investigates the loss of identity of people in the contemporary society; as the pieces of the “Train, switches and level crossings” series, where the focus is instead on the opportunities and choices that life present us; or as the latest serie (R)EVOLVE(R), in which Alessio asks himself “what if the nature, in a certain point in time, will begin a revolution against human being?”.
Alessio, is painting walls and is represented by many galleries across Italy and Europe and is now seeking to the USA.
